Hihi. I’m Laura.
I write things and make art in NYC.
My background
I grew up in a small town in northwest Ohio and spent ten hugely formative summers at sleepaway camp in Maine.
After graduating with a degree in journalism from Ohio University in 2011, I moved to New York City, where I live on the Upper East Side with my beloved cat Toast.
When I’m not focused on client work, I’m either heads down on an art project, heading downtown to the theater, or curled up on the couch watching/yelling supportively at one of my sports teams.
My interests
Theater
Linocut printmaking
Hockey (Caps & Flyers)
Baseball (Dodgers & Jays)
Formula 1
Sumo
Pro wrestling (AEW)
Cross stitch
Color-coded spreadsheets
Digital illustration
Sitcom blooper reels, especially when you can tell that the cast members really like each other
This is my sweet baby Toast, the most beautiful bean in the whole world. She loves dangly things and yelling at me.
ALSO FROM NEVER NOT MEDIA
You Can’t Do That is a podcast about hockey from three women who have more opinions than information and lots of feelings about the Washington Capitals.
Now covering its ninth NHL season, YCDT has been called “a wonderful, zippy sugar rush of love, friendship, and shared enthusiasm for large slabs of men” and “truly hockey entertainment at its finest.”
